In honor of yesterday's Blog Action Day, I’ve decided to highlight two gifts made by Green3, an apparel company dedicated to environmental awareness. These might be gifts for the environmentalist in name, but I suspect they’d be popular even among those unconcerned with reducing their carbon footprint.
First up are Green3’s reclaimed T-shirt scarves, which are made of old 100% organic cotton t-shirt scraps. We’re not talking thin Fruit of the Loom shirts here. We’re talking thick, soft tee shirts that remind me of those sold at American Apparel. Put together bits and pieces of a bunch of those shirts — some decorated, some just solid colors — and you’ve got an amazing looking (and feeling) scarf.
