Simple and Savory Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

My favorite part of carving jack-o-lanterns is all of the leftover pumpkin seeds.  Roasting pumpkin seeds is in our house, is an annual Halloween tradition.  Since you can control the amount of oil you put on them, roasted pumpkin seeds are a healthy Halloween snack.  The Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce give these roasted pumpkin seeds a unique flavor.

Simple and Savory Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Ingredients
Seeds from a pumpkin (cleaned and dried)
2 T olive oil, vegetable oil, or melted butter (more or less to your liking)
1 T soy sauce
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 t kosher or sea salt

Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.  In a mixing bowl, stir together oil, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce until combined.  Add pumpkin seeds and stir to coat the seeds.  Pour the seed mixture onto a shallow baking sheet.  Sprinkle the seeds with salt.  Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown, stirring once or twice so the seeds don't stick.

Roasted pumpkin seeds make a great Halloween snack.  They are an excellent balance for all the sugary treats.
