How Do You Deal with Stress?

Ever have one of those days where work just takes the life out of you? You know, the kind of stressful, tiring days at work that make you feel like you just want to turn the outside world on mute—or pause, even—while you recuperate to take on the next day.

To cope, it's important to have a loving, welcoming place to go home to so you can properly relax and reboot for another day at the grind. Whatever you do to unwind—meditation to tune everything out, make a home-cooked meal to feed your soul, curl up with a good book to escape into your imagination, hit up the gym to work out your frustrations, or even just lounge on your couch to enjoy the latest episode of your favorite TV show—coming home to a positive environment is key in letting the worries of your day slide off your back. It helps to keep you grounded, balanced, and in touch with the things that matter most.

Ali Stephens knows this frustration. As a model, she is constantly traveling and on the go, which spells stress to us. Her solution? She travels with her mother, her constant companion. "It's nice to come home to her and have a little piece of home with me everywhere I go," Ali says. Aw, isn't she sweet?

I drink excessively. No seriously I work out. I go to my local gym and pay the $5 for a class as a walk in and do yoga for an hour. I love it. Or I go home, set up in the garage & do a workout tape. And, sorry, sometimes I go home and make a big pot of comforting food. The relaxation of cooking and making something I know I will enjoy.

When I get stressed I have to talk it out. I call whom ever I believe will help me remain or become rational. When worse come to worst I throw up and feel some relief. I know it is not healthy and know I dont make myself do it, my poor tummy just cant not handle ALOT of stress.

I ask my husband to give me a back rub, or make a plate of comfort food, or I take a nap. Napping helps me relax and in my dreams there is no stress around. I wake up feeling like I've started the day over when I really only stopped it for 30 minutes.
