Are we unfair about Sarah Palin?

Are we unfair about Sarah Palin?  There are a lot of people who are for Sarah Palin.  There are a lot of people who are against Sarah Palin.  She is a polarizing force that sticks to the game plan.  After all, she would be a heart beat away from the presidency.  However who is she exactly?

I think men are afraid to verbalize what they don't like about her and women feel like she represents breaking the glass ceiling.  This is America, and it seems unclear who she really represents.  She is a self-described "Bible Believing Christian" but how much would her personal religious beliefs affect such things as our position in the middle east or the world?

In the debate against Joe Biden, Sarah Palin came out not answering any questions, but espousing only what she was coached to do.  Unstudied in many areas, about the Supreme Court and International Affairs...she gave generic answers.  In an interview about our relationship with Russia she brought up the potential for war.

Abuse of Power - Part II, I found it telling, very telling, that many are unaware about the recent abuse of power findings and there is a second investigation underway. If she uses her power this way as a Governor, what is in store for us if she actually makes it to Washington?  A flirty wink at the camera is not going to do it for us.

The belief that she is one of us, well it is a myth.  Sarah Palin tries to exemplify she is "one of us" and it was nice to read first hand account of the people of Anchorage actually telling reporters about the mythos of Sarah Palin.  True, she bounced from community college to community college, worked as a on-air Sports reporter, went all the way up to third place in the Miss Alaska beauty pageant...and has five children...and went into politics over her feelings on taxation...but is she one of us?

It does make you wonder what she will do to someone if you don't see things her way.  If you are Sarah Palin's friend, you will get a job.  If there is something she don't like, you might be asked to resign as a test of loyalty or your book might get pulled from the library.  I had a flashback from the world of Ray Bradbury.  Call it almost banning, call it whatever you will, but readers should choose what they want to select to read, and parents are the guides for what they want their children exposed to.

In her own words, Sarah Palin believes in pro-life, a strong military and doesn't believe global warming is man-made.  Not one thing is mentioned about foreign policy, about trying to stabilize the economy, or about representing the nation...as a nation and not the agenda of a political party.  This sadly, is more of the same...business as usual politics.

Perhaps folks, and you too, Joe Six-Pack...and Joe the plumber (they should really meet)...and Tina Fey...oh and me...need to remember one thing.  This is still America.  Vote, and please only vote once.

i feel Aerica is enjoying Palin more than Mccain and we need to remember that we are voting for presidents not only vice. Palin seems to have her hands full and raising a family even with help is still the parents primary job not assistants. I'm not sure she really has enough time to invest into running the country and raising her family and yes i have a family as well.

My personal opinion is that she is as qualified to be vice president as Obama is to be a President.

The message of this artcle is great, whether we like the candidates or not, we should all vote, everyone, it is you right and duty in my opinion. If we do not get out and vote, then the best man for the job may not get elected.

    Best Wishes Dean

Yes...most of the Sarah haters on Shine are unfair.

It seems like most of the comments made about her are personal attacks. They are based on her personality...intelligence...appearance...or her pregnant teenage daughter. There are a few comments on whether or not she is qualified to be Vice President but they are few and far between.

I personally feel that she does not have enough experience to be in a position where she may have to be President of the United States...that's it.

I will not call her names or insult her intelligence. Who the hell am I to say she's a "phony idiot". She is the Governor of Alaska...she has a family...she runs a state. Alaska seems to like her.

When I can do what Sarah Palin does...be Governor...raise my family...have a special needs child... deal with a pregnant teenager...and run for Vice President...I will judge her intelligence and personality.

Until then...I'll say...I don't think she has enough experience.

    Yes.

    More than unfair.

    She is a state governor.

Even if I don't agree with their politics, I wouldn't say that a state governor is dumb.

How many other state governors are stupid?

All Sarah haters...which other state governors are dumb like Sarah?

I'd say you disagree with her politics, and add on the "woman's curse":

any prettier/thinner/smarter woman is to be savaged.
