If you're like most people, most of your concentration in terms
of decorating for Halloween takes place on the outside of your
home. But why stop there? Today, there is a huge variety of
Halloween home decorations you can incorporate to bring some
ghoulish fun to your interior "living" space.
Halloween Home Decoration Ideas:
Halloween is a time of year when everyone can feel like a kid again. It's a time to unwind for a night, to overindulge on sweets, and generally have a good time. Here are a few ideas you can incorporate to add some interior charm and atmosphere to your Halloween home decorations.
• Accent your
living room, dining room, and hallways with
the colors of Halloween. These include purple, black, green, and
orange. Oh, and don't forget the red, as in blood-red!
• Spend a Saturday afternoon creating Halloween crafts with your
children. You can use these items to add a personal touch to your
holiday decorating. Make a spooky, cobwebbed wreath, print out some
Halloween printables for the kids to color, or make polymer clay
figurines of your favorite monsters.
• Just like you do for
Christmas and Thanksgiving, set the dining
room table with Halloween-themed accessories. Most shops
have tablecloths, napkins, dish towels, dinnerware, and other
dining room items in fun, Halloween themes.
• For do-it-yourself Halloween home decorations, visit the websites
of home and garden television channels like HGTV.com or DIYNetwork.com. There are a ton of useful and
budget-conscious ideas that you can design into your home's
eerie theme.

Additional Halloween Home Decorations:
If you really want your interior Halloween home decorations to be over-the-top, add a fair amount of cobwebs, ambient lighting like candles or black lights, dead flowers, chains (paper or metal), and cover your furniture with white or gray sheets. If you're planning a party, throw in a small fog machine (be sure to keep the windows cracked) and a strobe light.
Plan your haunted house décor right and your (grave) yard won't be the only area of your home demanding attention this Halloween.
