I am so excited you stopped by to chat. This is my first official BLOG!!! HE HE
My name is Joan, I am a mother of 4 blessings, Caralyn 10, Josef 9, Emma 3 and John is almost 6 months old. I remember when I was pregnant with the 1st thinking how are we going to do this with only one income!!! That is when I started looking into home based business.
I have been involved in direct sales for over 10 years, and make a pretty nice living at it, but there are ways to go about working a business from home and ways not to go about doing it. I want to start sharing my tips to a successful home business with you... some of the challenges, blessings, frustrations, huge payoffs...etc...
Lets get started with FINDING THE RIGHT BUSINESS FOR YOU:
It takes research to know what type of business you should get into. You need to really understand yourself and your family's needs before you jump into the first fabulous product you meet!
1. Write down your schedule for the month on a calender (go to Yahoo Mail and you can click on Calender to have a digitial one) This will help you decide how much time you really have available to work. Put down all of the obligations you may have (home room mom duties, grocery shopping once every 2 weeks, church and volunteer things...) You really need to get a good picture of your life in front of you.
2. Make sure you write in FAMILY TIME on your schedule too. You want to make sure your family doesn't suffer without TLC time from Mom (mom needs it too)
3. Now that you have a realistic view of your life, write in 5 hours of work time for the week. 1 hour here, 30 mins here... it really should not take more than 5 hours in a week of actual work time for a home based business!! You are probably thinking, no way... only 5 hours.. Yes only 5 hours a week. I bring in anywhere from 200.00 to 600.00 a week only working 5 hours a week on my business.. it can be done.
4. Now its time for writing down interests for you. This is sometime the hardest part for a mom. If you are all about your kids awesome... but what else... do you like photography, fashion, art, gardening, food, cooking, comfort, quiet time,... what is it you could get excited about....you would be surprised that there is a company out there with almost every interest available! We just have to find it!!!
Talk to your husband, sig other, or friends who are people who can really help you with honest answers.
5. Be realistic. Most home based business have some start up cost... start setting aside money to invest. A good opporunity will cost anywhere from 50.00 to 300.00 dollars. Don't put it on a credit card unless you have the income to pay it off within 30 days... ie..you have 6 bookings on the books for the next 3 weeks. Be ready when you are ready to get started.
I think that gives you an idea of where to start.. I will be back with tips, to answer questions.. I believe I will be on 2 times a week at first.. maybe more when I have extra time. I look forward to your comments!
Have a blessed day!!!
