“equally rewarding” for you is the first step in the process.
While it is possible to find a job that will create more time and
flexibility, it is important to recognize you may have to forfeit
some of the perks and/or salary to support your desired
schedule. Before thinking about changing jobs altogether,
find out if your current employer will support a flexible work
arrangement or has a job-sharing program. Typically, this
information will be detailed in the company Employee Handbook or
through information provided by the Human Resources Department.
If your company does not support flexible work arrangements,
start researching other companies with such programs. Many
companies understand that work-life balance is critical to employee
retention and offer flexible work schedules or job sharing
