We heard what you have to say about Barack Obama being elected president, now let’s see what the stars think of the verdict.

Madonna in concert before performing “Express Yourself”: "This is a historical evening! ... We are lucky to be sharing it with each other!"

Oprah Winfrey, who cried during the celebration in Chicago's Grant Park:
"This has been the greatest experience of my lifetime. I haven't seen a sense of unity like this since 9/11. Now, we're all brought together in the name of hope.” She also said, this “ means democracy at its finest. It's just the best. We did this. America did this."

George Clooney: "I congratulate President-elect Obama on his historic victory, and now it's time to begin unifying the country so we can take on the extraordinary challenges that this generation faces."

Tina Fey
via Twitter: “I can't remember the last time I was this proud to be an American. I am so proud of all of us.”

Lindsay Lohan via MySpace: "OBAMA IS OUR PRESIDENT!" She said that everyone who voted, "no matter their choice ... should be proud for voting in the first place."

Pete Wentz: "Hope is strange when it actually comes through. Its weird. Pinch yourself. Remember where you are standing. I am proud to be a part of history in the making."

Kanye West via blog: "HI MOM, OBAMA WON!"

Director Michael Moore via website: "Who among us is not at a loss for words? Tears pour out. Tears of joy. Tears of relief. A stunning, whopping landslide of hope in a time of deep despair."

Usher: "This will go down in history, in black history, for all of the sacrifices that the great Joseph Lowery and Martin Luther King made, this actually pays off for their sacrifice .... I'm speechless. I don't even know what to say."

TLC's Chili: "This is amazing..never thought i'd live to see this."

Russell Simmons: "The vision of the hip-hop generation and its young people is in full and glorious effect tonight. While many older Americans, who marched and struggled so hard so Senator Obama could run for president of the United States never dared to believe in his candidacy's real potential, young people, particularly the hip-hop community, had faith and their imagination became our reality."

George Takei: "The words from Barack Obama’s victory speech still resonates in my mind. What an amazing night it was – the culmination of a turbulent struggle against a disgraceful history of slavery, prejudice and racial conflict. The road ahead is long, the road will be steep.”

Elisabeth Hasselbeck: "No one lost today - and God knows I fought hard on the other side. Today is a victory for this country. The first black president. The first black first lady. The first black family. I haven't felt this good..."

Joe the plumber: "Hey, the American people spoke. They elected Barack Obama as our president and our new Commander in Chief, and I’m behind that 100 percent.”

I'm extremely happy. I like many other people didn't think I would see this day. It's not because he's a black man, it's because he is a man with a plan. This was a tight race. I really feel that Senator McCain really didn't want the job. Because if he wasn't being edged on by his party and really had time to choose a running mate, it wouldn't have been Sarah Palin.

    America the Beautiful!!!!

God shed His grace on thee on November 4th 2008.

There is a chance for us America, I thought all hope was dead, I thought that we were going to hell in a handbag, but God said No,

I am not done with you yet, America.

So I say to America to Stand Still, Stand still and Know that He Is Good. That He is God.

The Mayan calendar ends on 2012. We have a new beginning coming. I think HOPE is exactly what we need. I think UNITY is exactly what we need. I think that we have challenges that will only bring us closer together and I think that Barak Obama will have the courage and the mindset needed to help the world face what is ahead of us. I dont think he is a savior or a messiah. I just think he is a multi-cultural, sensitive, intelligent and courageous man, and the right man for this job.-Rachel.

Well said ladies. Let's see if we can get some men to comment on this. Barak Obama and his family will be in my prayers. The Lord knows he's gonna need all of our prayers with the mess he has to clean up. Take care and peace to you all.
