I got back for freshman orientation about an hour ago. We
learned about all the clubs we can join, and got our schedule.
My mom and I talked to a few people at the school about my
stuttering and what to expect. It's really annoying how
people automatically associate stuttering with being stupid.
I'm NOT slow. I just STUTTER!!!!!!!!!! ARG!!! It's amazing
to me how completely clueless people can be. Stuttering is not a
disability! It's a speech impediment!
Oh well. You can't really blame them. They haven't had any
experience with people who stutter. The good news is I'm
meeting all my teachers and my new speech pathologist next Monday!
Finally!
I've decided to be in:
- FFA
- Spanish Club
- Drama Club
- Science and Math Club
- Academic Bowl
I'm pretty sure I'll have an awesome highschool
experience. I'm actually kind of excited. Yay!! Anyway, I
gotta go, but I'll post again tomorrow. Bye!!
