In loving memory of Jennifer Perla...

This letter is dedicated to you Jenny,

You came into my life when you were an innocent little girl. Time passed and you remained the same, so innocent and full of life. Always a bright star in a dark room. You brought happiness to your family and to everyone around you. I remember all those happy times we had together. I still cant take in your death. Life is so unexpected and unfair. Remember Jenny how you used to call me "freddy" I never figured out why you did. But simple things like that showed the love you had for others. Always with your hot-Cheetos in hand and a smile on your face. You will never be forgotten and as life goes on. Dont you worry because one day we will all see you again. Thanks for being a part of my life. When you left and piece of my heart left with you. I still cannot believe your gone. You were and forever will be an angel. Take care Jennifer and never forget that I love you...

Your friend,
Fernando Ulloa

June 1, 2009
It was prom night and Jennifer Perla was wearing her beautiful purple dress.

But she would never get a chance to show it off at the dance.

The cheerleader from Taft High School in Woodland Hills died Saturday night in an accident on the 110 Freeway as she and a group of friends were heading to their prom at the California Science Center.
