The success of such shows and films has proved that there is a huge audience for wedding programing, whether it's the casual viewer who likes seeing a woman find the perfect dress, or a compulsive Type-A bride-to-be who spends afternoons tearing out pages from Modern Bride.

Cablevision has picked up on this trend and will be launching a wedding channel featuring all things matrimony 24/7.
