Should relational devotion be proven, or just simply done?

Should relational devotion be proven, or just simply done?

I was engaged in a quick exchange with someone regarding adultery, confession of adultery, and commitment, and someone suggested that relational devotion is to be proven.

In my opinion, relational devotion isn’t something to be proved, but rather simply done because within the aspects of a person trying to prove it, they risk the potential of posturing or even behaving manipulatively.

How do you feel about this; should devotion be proven, or just simply done?

Wishing everyone a beautiful day!

devotion should be simply done, i believe if you have the balls to cheat once you will again. i feel obviously if the a person who cheats on a partner clearly doesnt feel strong enough about the person to go out and cheat on them. cheating is a selfish act and the person who does it did not think about all involved.
