But why exactly are these books considered "perfect" reading for fall? The article doesn't give any information as to what these books on the list are about, nor do they support why they like the books and why they are ideal for fall. For all the reader knows, the author of the article could've simply chosen books with romantic/autumnal covers. :/

These are books given to high school students to read as part of required reading that is why they "feel right for fall." Nothing more, nothing less. Hope this helps clarify what the writer of the post meant for those who didn't understand. All good books, not everyone's choice for fall reading however unless you are a high school teacher.

The Anne Lamott book is one of my favorites! I have read it over and over.

I think I'll pass on the fall reading list. Could I see the summer/winter/spring one instead?

I've read Jane Eyre and Slouching Towards Bethleham, both last fall...hmmm. I also read Tolstoy's War and Peace last winter. Not sure if I can handle another Tolstoy novel for a while. War and Peace took forever to finish!
