When I visited my friend, a French actress, in Paris a few years ago, she imparted some of the best wisdom I've ever received. No, it wasn't another secret reason why French women don't get fat: it was how to properly walk in stiletto heels and not look like the…

Like it or not, Edward Cullen is the fictional hottie du jour. Never before have women been so enamored by a sparkly, lovesick centenarian torn between protecting his girlfriend and eating her for dinner. Despite Edward's edgy persona and "angelic" good looks, we're not convinced that he's the literary dreamboat that thousands of Twilight fans have made him out to be. What can we say? Book hotties of the past have set the bar pretty high, and we're not entirely signed on to the "being watched through our bedroom windows" fantasy. Before Edward Cullen swooped into our libraries and bookstores, we had these male literary characters to dazzle us. Read More »

There’s so much not to like about Sarah Palin … why do I find myself admiring her?
- April Daniels Hussar, BettyConfidential.com
Like many people outside of Alaska, the first I heard of Sarah Palin was back in August 2008, when John McCain announced her as his running mate. My first reaction: Smooth move, John. We wanted a woman in the Oval Office, now you might be giving us one. My second reaction: How sexist and condescending can you get. We can’t have Hillary, so any old female will do? And my third: Dear Lord, please don’t let this woman end up in the White House. So here’s my confession: I was – and still am – an ardent Obama supporter. Politically speaking I’d say Sarah Palin and I are just about polar opposites. (You say, “Drill baby;” I say, “No blood for oil.”) I shudder to imagine her holding a national political office. But, the thing is, well … see, it’s like this … I kind of like her too.

We've always thought that the gift of lingerie was more about the gift giver than actually something for us (who's really reaping the benefits of that sexy little bra? Not really you), but this latest innovation is taking the selfish-present idea to a whole new level.
Brazilian company LindeLucy Lingerie has just put out a collection of underwear called “Find Me If You Can.” Each of the pieces—ranging from bras to teddies to garter belts—is equipped with a built-in, pager-sized GPS system that allows those with the password to track your whereabouts online.
