No, it's not a fancy softball pitch; "the lob" is actually a term for a long bob (a.k.a., a shoulder-length bob, or what happens when you try last season's trendy bob and let it grow out for a couple months).According to Pantene celebrity hairstylist Hallie Bowman, the lob is the hair cut for fall. And if you were one of the many, many people to try out the Posh-bob (or Pob, the fun names never stop people!) then you probably already have it.
Didn't succumb to the last uber-trendy cut? Well, you might want to cave in for the lob. Bowman says it's flattering on just about everyone and it's so versatile -- you can wear it straight, curly, wavy, flipped out, up, down, pretty much any way you could think of.
Check out these lob-style how-tos below for some guidance. I don't know about you but I think there's a date with the scissors in my future (I was one of the very few who didn't go down the Pob road).

Stop your fussing over President Obama's jeans; the First Lady just got a new 'do. Michelle Obama stepped out with fresh new cut at a celebration of country music at the White House yesterday. It's official: Bobs have taken over as the hair cut to have. It's not too surprising though, since unlike the pixie cut (which only works if you have a face like this celeb) or long layers (which can be a pain to maintain), a bob works for pretty much any face and any lifestyle. Don't believe me? Check out these stars, they all have different face shapes and are all rockin' the bob. Read More »

Sophisticated Swedish "sex life accessory label" Lelo has been on a roll this year: first there was the Nea Black Pearl Valentine, then the flushed deep rose Iris for Spring, followed by the lipstick look-alike Mia vibe. But considering the high-end, luxury vibe they're going for, Lelo's made some pretty wacky decisions in the naming of their most recent toys. A month or so back, there was the BO love ring, which unfortunately called to mind stinky post-gym sweat. Now, there's the new BOB, reminding us of that classic episode of The Newlyweds: Read More »
