This is my favorite time of
year to invite friends over for drinks and nibbles. And when
it's cold outside, there's nothing more welcoming than a
pot of hot cider simmering on the stove or a mug of mulled wine to
offer my guests as they arrive. These
delicious hot toddies (with alcohol and without) are festive
enough to serve all season long. And the best part is they’re easy
to make for a crowd, which means I’m not stuck in the kitchen
mixing cocktails all night long.

shiveringly cold New Year’s Eve here in Vermont. Not sure what the
